Testicular Cancer is a type of cancer that originates in the testicles, which are part of the male reproductive system. The testicles are located inside the scrotum, a loose bag of skin underneath the penis.

Testicular cancer is relatively rare compared to other types of cancer but is the most common cancer in American males between the ages of 15 and 35.

Here are some common types as below:

Following are the procedure steps:

1. Physical Examination: The doctor will check for any lumps or abnormalities in the testicles and surrounding areas.

2. Ultrasound: An imaging test that uses sound waves to create a picture of the testicles and can help distinguish between a solid mass and a fluid-filled cyst.

3. Blood Tests: Tests to measure levels of tumor markers in the blood, such as alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).

4. Surgery (Orchiectomy): If cancer is suspected, the entire affected testicle may be surgically removed through an incision in the groin. The removed testicle will be analyzed to determine the type of cancer and the extent of its spread.

5. Imaging Tests: CT scans, MRI, or X-rays may be used to see if cancer has spread to other parts of the body, such as the lymph nodes, abdomen, or lungs.
