Following are the procedure steps:

1. Polysomnography (Sleep Study): A comprehensive test used to diagnose sleep disorders. This may be done in a sleep lab or at home.

2. Nasal Endoscopy: A procedure that uses a thin, flexible tube with a camera to examine the nasal passages and throat.

3. Sleep Surgery: Surgical options may include:

Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP): Removal of excess tissue in the throat to widen the airway.

Genioglossus Advancement: A surgical procedure that repositions the tongue muscle attachment to prevent airway collapse.

Septoplasty: Correcting a deviated nasal septum to improve airflow.

Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy: Removing the tonsils and adenoids if they contribute to airway obstruction.

Maxillomandibular Advancement (MMA): Repositioning the upper and lower jaw to enlarge the airway.
